A place filled with history
In 1938, the wholesale market, nicknamed «Nantes Belly» moved to the Palais du Champ de Mars in front of the Lefèvre-Utile factory where the LU biscuits were made. In order to develop their business, wholesalers set up warehouses in the neighbourhood. The Bouyer-Guindon families built, on the site of an old tannery, a storage warehouse for fruits and vegetables, as well as banana ripening plant. The Hôtel de la Cité was constructed here in 2023.
A unique experience in the heart of Nantes.
Our establishment has 97 rooms, including 4 specially equipped for people with reduced mobility (PRM). Each room can accommodate from 1 to 3 guests and has been designed by the Nantes-based architecture and design firm BGC, inviting relaxation in an elegant and contemporary ambiance. In order to ensure the well-being of our guests, we have equipped each room with an air purifier, manufactured just 3 kilometers away by the Nantes-based company JVD. The gardens, planted on the site of the former banana ripening facility at the MIN de Nantes, provide a unique setting of light and greenery in the heart of the City. The Hôtel de la Cité invites you to an experience where elegance and modernity blend to create a serene environment, allowing you to enjoy an authentic experience in the heart of Nantes. Relaxing there with a drink at the end of a day's work or exploring the city is an experience cherished by both our neighbors and our visitors.

Parking
We have a private and secure underground car park, equipped with charging stations for cars and bicycles. For vehicles over 1.80m high, we have parking spaces in a car park located 100 meters from the Hotel. Do not hesitate to ask us, our parking is a rate of 12 € per day and per car.
Breakfast
We offer a selection of pastries made in a bakery, accompanied by delicious Nespresso coffees such as Cappuccino or Latte Macchiato. Our buffet has plenty of food, including charcuterie and cheese, scrambled eggs, sausage and freshly squeezed orange juice. (16€)

Duke's Bar
Let yourself be seduced by the relaxed elegance of the « Dukes Bar ». Its warm atmosphere with Gaelic tones invites relaxation and conviviality. Open from 7am to 11pm.
A pet-friendly hotel
You love your pets and so do we! The Hôtel de la Cité welcomes them with pleasure for a supplement of €5. Do not hesitate to ask for more information at our reception when making your reservation.

- By car : 13 parking spaces in the hotel (maximum height : 1.80 meters) and 3 parking spaces located 100 meters away(maximum height : 1.90 meters). Contact us to book a parking spot at 12€ per night and per car.
- By bike : Free indoor parking. Charging plug and bicycle inflating station.
- By bus : Line 4 at 150 meters away.
- By train : Train station 10 minutes walk.
- By plane : From 15 to 45 minutes by taxi depending on traffic. From the airport, a bus called « Navette» takes you directly to the train station (near the hotel) for 10€.
